Kilmer celebrates the end of the school year

As the school year winds to a close, we have lots of exciting activities at Kilmer. Please see the list of events below to keep yourself updated:

– Monday (5/27) there is no school in observance of Memorial Day.

– Tuesday (5/28) is Radical Reading Day at Kilmer. Students will spend the morning moving about the building as they participate in fun literacy stations. Teachers have created fun games and projects to be completed at each station. Thank you to Ms. Smoody and Ms. Lagunas for orchestrating this building-wide event!

– Wednesday (5/29) is our Honors Assembly from 9:15am – 10:00am. Students will be recognized for their special achievements this year and for their participation in school clubs and activities. The Chorus and Pep Squad will also perform. Parents are invited to attend.

– Thursday (5/30) is Movinโ€™ On Up Day where students will have the opportunity to visit the grade-level team members for next year and learn a little about what awaits them next year! At 2pm, we will have our Biannual 4th and 5th-grade Talent Show. Parents are invited to attend.

– Friday (5/31) is our school-wide picnic and our Student Council Walk-a-Thon from 12pm – 1pm. Please see this attached parent letter for info on the Walk-a-Thon.

– Monday (6/3) The PTO will sponsor classroom parties in the afternoon where students will have the chance to wind-down, watch a movie, and pack-up their materials to take home for the summer. PTO will be providing students with Skinny Pop and water as a snack. Please let your classroom teacher know immediately if your child is not allowed to have this snack.

– Tuesday (6/4) will be the last day of school for Kindergarten.

– Wednesday (6/5) will be the last day of school for 1st through 5th-grade. All students will be dismissed at 11:30am.
